Wagion Lodge #6

Be a Part of History!

This month marks the 75th Anniversary of the Westmoreland/Fayette Council. There will be a “once-in –a-lifetime” celebration and recognition of this impressive anniversary at the end of the month – and you have the opportunity to be a involved with making it all happen.

The council has asked Wagion for several volunteers on Saturday, September 30. This is the featured day in the celebration of the council and its comprehensive accomplishments, as Scouts, Scouters, family, and friends of the Scouting program convene at the Greensburg Council Service Center, 2 Garden Center Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601, for a full day of events, activities, history, and celebratory fellowship. However, we need YOUR help to make this all happen!

We will be running three “shifts” of volunteers for the day. You may sign up, by contacting me for one, two, or all three shifts. They are as follows:

  • 9:00 am   – 12:00 pm (Morning Setup)
  • 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm   (Service Corps, Parking, etc.)
  • 3:00 pm   – 6:00 pm   (Service Corps, Parking, Evening Teardown, etc.)

The physical event runs from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm, and all are welcome to attend, but as you can see above we will be providing assistance in setting up and then tearing down.

We do not have a set list of our responsibilities for the day, but will offer to assist in any way in which our service can prove to be an asset.

For each of the three shifts we are searching for approximately 6 – 10 cheerful and hardworking Arrowmen who want to be a part of history in the making, and be able to say that they were a part of making the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Westmoreland/Fayette Council happen.

Once again, please contact me if you are interested in being on the service core for the day, or have any questions regarding the event.

Reach out to fellow Arrowmen in your area and tell them we need their help!

More information regarding the event can be found by clicking here.

I look forward to seeing you there!
