Greetings Wagion!
I am delighted to announce that Wagion hosted its Annual Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) on Saturday January 14th, 2012. The event was deemed a success, including the fact that over 90% of our LEC was in attendance! Thank you to all who contributed or attended the event. Overall, your entire LEC is ready to make 2012 a year to be remembered.
LODGE BANQUET
Keep in mind that our next full lodge event will be the Lodge Annual Banquet on February 25th, 2012 at the Uniontown Area High School. Here is a great opportunity to pay your OA dues or become a “Silver Arrowman.”
Being a Silver Arrowman:
- Pays for you annual lodge dues
- Covers the cost of the lodge banquet
- Covers the cost of the April, June, August, and October OA Weekends
- Automatically register you for every lodge weekend (you don’t have to call ahead!)
- Gets you 2 Silver Arrowman Patches
- AND MORE!!!
The activities committee is well on their way to planning an entire day packed with events you won’t want to miss! LEC members should keep in mind that there will be an Executive Meeting on February 7th, 2012 at Wolenter Lodge, Camp Tenacharison. The meeting is set to begin at 7pm, but we ask that you arrive a little early so that we can begin right away. Your attendance is vital as we will be making much of our preparations for the banquet that day!
Remember: We will be hosting another food drive at the banquet. With your admissions fee, please bring at least one bag of food that will be donated to the local food bank.
OA UNIT ELECTIONS
It’s coming to that time of year again-time for Unit Elections! Your Order of the Arrow Troop Representative should be in contact with OA Reps/Unit Elections chairman Tyler P. and adviser Denny Kinzel to work on coordinating a time for your troop’s election. They should also be in contact with other OA Reps in your area. This year, we are also focusing more on working with other OA Reps to ensure that everyone has a quality unit election. Your OA Rep MUST attend the training session at the Lodge Banquet that pertains to hosting a unit election, and more! Keep in mind that ALL ELECTIONS MUST BE HELD BEFORE MAY 1st, 2012! So don’t delay!
CONCLAVE 2012
This year, our Section Conclave will be hosted by Kuskitannee Lodge #168 at Camp Bucoco (Slippery Rock, PA) June 8-10th, 2012. Anyone can sign up for Conclave 2012 at the Lodge Banquet! Can we get over 100 Arrowmen to this weekend packed with fun, food, and fellowship???
NOAC 2012
Keep in mind that NOAC will be held at Michigan State University July 30-August 4, 2012. You MUST sign up and DEPOSIT at least $100 by the banquet in order to be a part of our contingent. Remember:

In the mean time, keep in mind that Wagion never sleeps. Right now is a terrific time to get involved with the lodge in another way. Consider joining a committee and become a part of something great! How much does it cost for the Silver Arrowman ?
Silver Arrowman membership for 2012 is $115.00. The LEC will probably need to consider raising it for 2013.
$20 for 4 weekends and a banquette, $15 for dues, plus the patch, conveniance and bragging rights. Everything we’re all usually paying anyway.
Considering the cost of dues being $20 now, definatley should raise it to 125 to cover the extra 5 and 5 to cover the patch. Great for if you go to everything, but not so great if you end up not being able to make it to every weekend.
