Missing the Lodge

Dear Adam,

I used to be a past lodge officer and chairman for many years.  After I aged out, I fell to the wayside and stopped paying my dues and am no longer registered as a Scout.  I have greatly missed the Lodge over the past few years if not more and have missed out on some great times and memories. Work had taken over my life. And I have came to notice that, the one thing that helped me through my life and the program that help me become who I am today.  I am trying to get back involved in the Order of the Arrow but I need help and am unsure how to do this?

Sincerely, An Old Friend

Dear Friend,

I am glad to see you wiling to come back to such an amazing organization.  You have been greatly missed, and look forward to your return!

As for the process, here is what you are looking at.  You don’t have to be registered with a Troop (as you probably were as a youth). All you need is a current Boy Scout registration. District or unit, it doesn’t matter. Head to the Council office and take care of that.  Once you have your membership with the Scouts current, you can (while you are still at the office) pay your OA dues to Colleen at the office, and your OA membership will be current. Then you can get the T-bird times, which, is filled with lots of good and current information. You can also do most of those things at the October OA weekend. Mark your calendars for October 14-16 and hope to see you there.

We miss you so be sure to come back in October! And in the words of Mr. Clark, “[Friend], get your [self] back to camp!!”

Sincerely,

Adam
